After many months of writing alone in silence, I get to walk into the vibrant world of school and find out what kids really think of my stories. What an honor and delight! I once visited a school that rolled out a red carpet that led me to the library and the walls were covered in welcome banners. WHO WOULDN'T love author visits?!

I speak to kids from K-6, often in assembly or library settings, talking about the power of drawing and the importance of visual literacy. We practice storytelling exercises together with audience participation and close on some live drawing. Kids leave inspired and impowered to create their own stories and focus on their own special super powers.
I'm based in the Seattle, WA, area, but I've traveled as far as eastern Canada for author visits. If you're interested in having me visit, inquire and I'll provide you with an author visit kit outlining what to expect and how to make the visit as awesome as possible. Remote video visits are an option (but they sure are less fun).

"We LOVED his presentation! It was so informative and engaging! Students have been inspired and are writing their own graphic novels. We have a hold list a mile long for his series! Thanks for helping to spread the joy of reading and writing!" - (Librarian, Mukilteo Elementary)
